Blue Spring Farm offers limited summer horse camps for kids ages 7 and older. While enjoying several days with horses, we teach kids:

     Grooming, tack, riding and bathing a horse

     Horse safety

     Feeding the horses: grain, hay, supplements and water

     Cleaning and bedding a horse's stall

     Cleaning, conditioning and oiling tack

     Different types of tack, bits, saddles, etc.

We also demonstrate basic hunt seat riding and jump courses, clipping a horse for the show arena, and mane braiding for the show arena.

There is room for 8 kids per camp. Kids attending camp will need to wear jeans and boots with a heel for riding (helmets will be provided). Beverages (water and Gatorade) will be provided.
